I just looooooove Charlie Chaplin's films. His 'Tramp" character with the cane, the small mustache, and the funny walk is a classic piece of film history.

This is one topic that could be endless.
Here's some of my favourite male actors.
Anthony Hopkins
Check out Silence of the Lambs, Howards End, Remains of the Day, Shadowlands, Nixon, Titus, The Elephant Man...need I go on? These alone give him the right to be the greatest actor around (despite some recent turkeys - Bad Company anyone?)
Al Pacino
Of course Godfather Parts I and II (especially II), Serpico, Insomnia, ...And Justice for all, Scent of a Woman, Ronin, Carlito's Way - so many performances of genius.
Robert Di Nero
Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Once Upon a Time in America, Godfather Part II, and much more.
Marlon Brando
The Men, A Streetcar Named Desire, Wild Ones, On the Waterfront, Julius Caesar, Godfather Part I, Apocalypse Now. A great talent slowly dwindling to an ignnominous death - a real tragedy.

I would've added all of them to the above poll list, but proboards allows a maximum of 8 options.

Here's a list of some of my favorite young actresses:
Kate Winslet - Intelligent and very sexy in most of her films. Holy Smoke, Heavenly Creatures, the oft-derided Tianic, Jude, Sense & Sensibility, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Clare Danes - a relatively low-profile actress, best know for Romeo & Juliet but also starred in many small indipendent films - see the wonderfully Salingeresque Igby Goes Down, Polish Wedding, Brokedown Palace.
LIv Tyler - Debuted in the beautiful Stealing Beauty and went on to films like Plunkett & MacLeane, Onegin, One Night at McCools, and of course the stupendous Lord of The Rings trilogy.
Scarlet Johannsen - A brilliant newcomer. I saw and was greatly inpressed by Girl with a Pearl Earring and the great Lost in Translation - a very promising young actress.
Kate Beckinsale - A late blossoming for an actress who debuted in 1993 with Much Ado About Nothing and now is playing the sex-kitten role. However she made some great earlier films - Brokedown Palace, Serendipity etc.
Gwyneth Paltrow - The much underestimated actress was surely the most hard-working actress of the 90 s. Some incredible performances in films like Emma, Shakespeare in Love, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Sliding Doors and the career-best, acting masterclass that is the heartbreaking Sylvia.
P.S.I almost forgot Julia Stiles and Kirsten Dunst. Oh baby!!
