Some of my favourite cartoon characters in no particular order:
Wyle E. Coyote - I wanted to him to squash that smug roadrunner.
Dastardly and Muttley - the greatest cartoon laugh? Was Stop the Pigeon or Wacky Races their best show?
Fred Flinstone - Proto-Homer and very thick soles. Those stone cars must give you some horrible blisters!
Homer Simpson - Possibly the most influential man in the world - no joke! Every man's real role model.
Top Cat - the smoothest cat in the world - despite the fact that Officer Dibble was a bit stupid.
Garfield - the ultimate couch-potato - and he has his own personal servant. Odie was just a dumb distraction.
Charlie Brown and Snoopy - A mid life crisis - in a child's body. Snoopy was a dog-Garfield. Did anyone else freak out when Snoopy used to bark in that weird way? Linus rules!
Beavis & Butthead - When they first appeared they were hearalded by newspapers predicting almost the destruction of Western civilisation. They didn't destroy society, merely reflected it.
"I am Cornholio, I need teepee for my bunghole! You have teepee?"
Scooby Doo and Shaggy - what weird drugs were they on that gave them such food fetishes.
"I would have got away with it if it weren't for you pesky kids!"
Cartman and Kenny - one totally amoral, the other inarticulate. See Beavis & Butthead.
Yosamite Sam - a cartoon psychopath - beware of men with ginger beards!
Taz - a teenager with the power to cause a whirlwind - very useful in Math class.
Jessica Rabbit - when I first saw her, very sexy indeed to a nine-year old kid.
Tom & Jerry - seen today with an adult's eye they seem incredibly violent, but that's what kids want, or what boys want. How many lives did Tom have? Has anyone ever seen a hole in the wall like Jerry had to live in? Does it come with air-con?
There's so many great characters and my mind's gone blank. Feel free to add some more a vous pleasure.
