Of course they should! Why deny freedoms to people because they are different. Denying same-sex couples the right to marry is, for all essential purposes, racist. you are denying someone a freedom that they have a right to. And if you bring the bible (intentionally not capitolized) into this argument, you are breaking the Golden Rule of the U.S. Constitution: Separation of church and state. Using the bible as a basis for making a law, any law at all, is unconstitutional.
America was founded on the basis of freedom, and every human's right to the freedom to do what they want (short of robbery, murder, etc.). By saying that same-sex couples cannot marry is saying that everyone has equal rights, some are just less equal. I have no problem with people saying that it is their belief because of religion or some other reason that homosexuality is immoral or wrong, but when people start to say stuff like "We need them [homosexuals] out of here." you're really pushing it.
All this business with the government not recognizing same-sex couples, not allowing marriage been members of the same sex, and making homosexuality a "crime against nature" makes me sick. You conservatives should be ashamed. Everyone is equal, and you know it, and if you think otherwise, you can feel free to kiss my ***. The only good place in this country, it seems, is Vermont. That is the only state to offically recognize the right of same-sex couples to marry. On this same line of thinking, to worst place in the country is Rhea County. Yeah, the same place that prosecuted John Scopes for teaching the Theory of Evolution over the theory of divine creation. The people there are just plain ignorant. I rest my case.
